The flavor comes first and for a moment it seems almost friendly. Then the heat starts to build slowly and just refuses to let up. It has a lot of depth to it, a little bit vegetal, a little bit fruity, which quickly tempts you to add another tablespoon. It's a mistake you only make once. It works great in chili, stews, or on meats where you want flavor and a long, slow burn.
